Tom I have a great deal to sympathise with your viewpoint. However I’m sure, there is a fourth way to quickly put right the economy without more taxes, more borrowing or cutting the benefits of the disabled! Yes! I gave the answer!! The Chancellor doesn’t have enough tax revenue each month. So looks to make up the difference. And in this statement she has cut. Benefits and help to the poor abroad. But, if she wants more tax take she needs to make SPENDING the centre of her policy so as to make the money that is out there move by SPENDING in the same time frame as she needs to pay her bills, to circulate and revolve around the majority of people who generate that tax revenue to make SPENDING the way to trigger the tax receipts she needs! Nobody will earn anything to pay tax if people don’t spend enough! Now we all spend our money anyway! And we need rainy day money but honestly the rules she could make must be aimed at those who have the most money snd not the ones who have nothing left each month. It’s the unspent unused hoarded money kept over and above the smoking they do spend that had caused the problem of insufficient money in the monthly pot to afford sufficient tax! Rather than tax the rich let them spend it to at least get something for it! But we need a tsunami of money moving to clock up the revenue needed! Speed up the flow! Make more money move and create the amount of tax take to make the books balance! It’s so easy! We have computers and debit cards! Make the money move or take it in tax! But you can’t have trillions of pounds out there unused and stagnant! We should be taxing the rich to pay the poor but, we are now not taxing the rich whilst they hold this money for years, and now paying them even more back in tax debt interest and using it to pay them back making them even richer whilst we balance the books by taking off the disabled! What are doing allowing this insane situation that’s been going on since thatcher! Put back exchange control regulations, keep all money within the UK and make them spend it! It’s that simple! Why are we putting up with this stagnation any longer. 95% of money is held by just 5% of people. No wonder we’re skint! 95% of us are fighting over just 5% of money to pay enough tax! For gods sake! Get it right for the majority! That’s democracy!
